For the third straight season, the Helias Crusaders are the city champions. The Crusaders knocked off Capital City 24-22 a week ago and used a huge first-half performance on Friday to beat the Jefferson City Jays 38-21 in Central Missouri Activities Conference play at Adkins Stadium to claim the city title.
Avrey Reynolds pitched a three-hit shutout and Summer Branch hit a solo home run Monday, leading the Jefferson City Lady Jays to a 13-0 win in six innings against the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Tigers in Central Missouri Activities Conference play.

This time, it’s the crosstown rival Jefferson City Jays, with kickoff at 7 p.m. today at Adkins Stadium.
