SRINAGAR: The bail application of Patel Kiran Jagdish Bhai, who is facing charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including 419, 420, 467, 468, and 471, has been rejected by the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Srinagar.
882 Covid Infected Cops Get Rs 5000 Each As Relief
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police Director General has sanctioned Rs 44.10 lakh as special relief in favour of 882 police personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police who had were t infected by the COVID-19, a police spokesman said.

“Since the outbreak of the 2
nd wave of COVID-19, the J&K police personnel have been working day in and day out in implementing the government directives to check the spread of COVID-19. Despite precautionary measures, many policemen on the ground are contracting the disease and getting infected. To provide them with some financial assistance DGP, J&K sanctioned the relief of Rupees 44.10 lakh in favour of 882 COVID affected police personnel,” the spokesman said.
