So the news out today that the Vaccine Supplies are sitting in warehouses and that states are receiving a fraction of the supply of vaccine doses they were promised threatens to shatter both our sense of safety and hope. The New York Times reporting, quote, in Oregon State Health officials said they were told they were only scheduled to get about 25,000 doses of the vaccine next week. Significantly less than the nearly 41,000 doses the state received this week. Iowas Health Department issued a similar release saying they were told, quote, they will not receive the volume of vaccine initially anticipated and that their shipment would be as much as 30 less than what they received this week.
