March 12, 2021 THE City Government of Bacolod is now ready to use the 32 additional isolation rooms in Barangay Alijis and the 45-cubicle isolation facility at the Bacolod Evacuation Center at the Abada-Escay Relocate Site in Barangay Vista Alegre.
The facilities were turned over by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Western Visayas to the city officials Friday, March 12, 2021, led by Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Congressman Greg Gasataya, Councilor Renecito Novero and DPWH officials in rites held in Barangay Alijis.
DPWH-Western Visayas Regional Director Engineer Lea Delfinado said they turned over two units of isolation facilities in Barangay Alijis, which composes 16 rooms for each unit. Each room is furnished with an individual comfort room and air conditioner.

VALENZUELA CITY, Mar. 8 Deployed maintenance team from the Department of Public Works and Metro Manila Third District Engineering Office (DPWH-MMTDEO) has acted to a recent report on potholes along Mindanao Avenue corner Sto. Rosario St. in Valenzuela City.
“This road is a subject of report coursed through the DPWH Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/dpwhph on third week of February 2021 requesting us to repair the damaged road portion that could potentially damage cars”, said Secretary Mark A. Villar.
Under the leadership of Secretary Villar, DPWH has been using the established mechanisms for citizen feedback for more efficient and public-responsive services.

Citing a report from the Bureau of Maintenance, DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that one of the affected sections is the Surigao-Davao Coastal Road, K1362+689 Hubo Bridge in San Agustin, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur which has a scoured slope protection.
“The road will remain impassable until the water level in the area has subsided. In the meantime, the DPWH maintenance crew in the area have installed road safety devices to warn motorists/pedestrians,” read the advisory sent by the agency to reporters.
The Dinagat – Loreto Road K0014+600 section is also closed due to road slip, the agency said. DPWH has installed barricades and signages for the safety of the public and avoid further damage on the road.

Sadain said that the meeting with JICA Philippines officials led by Chief Representative Azukizawa Eigo, provided the opportunity for review and assessment of Japan-assisted key on-going and new pipeline infrastructure projects under the President Rodrigo Roa Duterte administration in support of the Build, Build, Build program.
