Sebi s proposal for a special call-auction mechanism aims to address liquidity issues and improve fair price discovery in Investment Companies and Investment Holding Companies with significant market price-book value gaps.
Under Sebi s new framework, index providers offering indices for use in India have to be registered with the regulator and get authorization for the introduction of such indices. The index is the key element in trading, as it helps investors gauge the overall market sentiment.
In this regard, the minimum issue size in case of public issuance of Zero Coupon Zero Principal Instruments (ZCZP) for NPOs on the social stock exchange will be reduced to Rs 50 lakh from Rs 1 crore.
