Back in may, philadelphias voters okayed a ballot question to raise the minimum wage for employees to 10. 88 an hour and most workers say they have not seen it. Workers average from 7 to 9 an hour and most without benefits, they are working for the subcontractors of the airlines, they are not receiving the training they believe they need and are being exposed to dangerous situations without training. Steven bernay, he flowed into vehicles at a red light in maiden creek. Police officer robert wood was first on the scene because he was picking up coffee at the drivethru behind the Dunkin Donuts when it happened. In fact the vehicle in front of his squad car was among the three that got pinned under the truck. Two people were killed and nine were injured and bernay was not injured. And while a blood sample was take and for a toxicology test, there is no reason to believe he was under the influence. This was caused by a tractor trailer driver that dozed off and crossed into the other lane of travel. He is charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle and nine counts of aggravated assault. They have video from the Dunkin Donuts that clearly shows what happened. And police chief scott ecin says that is why they were able to file formal charges as quickly as they did.
