Frightening moments at a Birthday Party in Sonoma County then a fast moving grass fire breaks out. Coming up, the destruction left behind. From fire to ice. Several dozen people came to the red shelter they set up. Fridays 7. 1 hit, about 15 people came to the shelter. Im told many of them are choosing to sleep outside because of the continuing aftershocks. During the briefing today, city Officials Say that they are making Good Progress in inspecting a lot of the damage across ridgecrest, but their big concern is they just dont know when the Regional Hospital is going to fully reopen. Meanwhile, theres lots of people in ridgecrest that are trying to get back to normal. We are an isolated community. Reporter when she saw the new prototype fare gate monday at the Richmond Bart station, she was too scared to go through. Bart is testing out the doublewing gates as a Pilot Program to stop fare cheats from jumping over. She worries that wheelchair users, children or short riders, the wings might shut at head level. Im terrified about getting stuck here. Sometimes its a threesecond window. If i dont get through in three seconds, i get hit on the head. Reporter a bart spokesperson told us the top barriers come down with less force than the bottom and are collected by a pole so they would not close on a head.
