Contain a 3,500 acre fire that started around yesterday at 2 30, and by 3 00 it spread to more than 3,000 acres. These were the crews leaving last night, where they say the wind and dry brush and hot weather made for the flames. Its on the border of a national park. Hundreds of firefighters continue to battle a 500acre brushfire in calabasas. Three of the firefighters have been injured, as of just a couple hours ago it was 75 contained. That fire started about 4 00 yesterday afternoon, and quickly led to the mandatory evacuations of 5,000 people. Firefighters say they are just trying to stop the fire from spreading further. We get the whirl winds that start up, and they will carry an ember up and away from the fire to an unburned area, and if that happens we could be at ground one from where we started yesterday.
