And hot tub used to stand. Last wednesday during the height of the storm drain water rushing down the slope of the Santa Cruz Mountains eroded the soil underneath the deck. The deck obviously gave way early that morning. Sliding almost into the road. Right as the sun was coming up you heard a big snap and it was all the legs going. And that was thats it for now. Reporter there were no injuries but the deck and hot tub are complete losses. Neighbors raced to the rescue helping cleared mud and debris from the road which reopened this last weekend but it has been raining actively today and more is forecast for tomorrow which has many residents worried.
