Witness in Kingston reported potential luring to Kitsap County Sheriff

Kitsap County sheriff’s deputies are looking into a “suspicious incident” last week where a man was seen showing a puppy to children south of Kingston, raising concerns of an attempted luring. Deputies were told that on Thursday at about 12:30 p.m. a passer-by on Hillbend Lane NE observed three children in a yard and nearby saw an older man stopped in a white, newer sedan holding a white puppy, said sheriff’s office spokesman Sgt. Ken Dickinson. “It looked like he was motioning to the kids, saying come here,” Dickinson said, reading from a report. Dickinson said the make and model of the car were unknown but it could be a Hyundai.
