CONCORD A Rochester man has been sentenced to nearly nine years in prison for robbing a Rochester gas station and a Dover bank on the same day while out on supervised release for a different bank robbery.
Thomas Hegarty, 26, of Rochester, was sentenced last week in U.S. District Court to a combined 82 months for the attempted robbery of a Rochester Circle K and the robbery of a Bank of America in Dover, each of which occurred on April 9, 2020.
At the time of the crimes, Hegarty was out on supervised release on a 3-year, 3-month sentence he received for robbing a Rochester bank in 2015. For violating the terms of that release, the court imposed a 12-month sentence to be served consecutively with the 82 months for the April 9, 2020, crimes.
