Member of SRMS Tests Positive for COVID, Contact Tracing Completed Written by HH
Today, Aaron Crook RPS COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance Liaison reported that a member of the Scotts Ridge Middle School (SRMS) community tested positive for COVID-19.
This individual was in the SRMS building while potentially infectious to others on Wednesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 22. Contact tracing for this case has been completed.
Crook has conferred with Town of Ridgefield Health Director Ed Briggs and RHS Medical Advisor Dr. James Ahern about these cases.

As an addendum to the COVID-19 communication sent on April 18, the communication incorrectly stated that we learned on April 13, that two members of the RHS community tested positive for COVID-19. This should have said that on Tuesday, April 13, we learned that two members of the
Veterans Park Elementary School (VPES) community tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals were not in the VPES building during a period of time when they were potentially infectious to others. No contact tracing is needed.
Late in the evening Sunday, April 18, we learned that two members of the
Scotts Ridge Middle School (SRMS) community tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals were not in the SRMS building during a period of time when they were potentially infectious to others. No contact tracing is needed.

A member of the
Farmingville Elementary School (FES) community tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was not in the FES building during a period of time when they were potentially infectious to others. No contact tracing is needed.
Sunday, April 11
A member of the
Ridgefield High School (RHS) community tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was in the RHS building while potentially infectious to others on Thursday, April 8 and Friday April 9. Contact tracing for this case has been completed.

This individual was in the SRMS building while potentially infectious to others on Monday, April 5. Contact tracing has been completed. I conferred with Town of Ridgefield Health Director Ed Briggs and RHS Medical Advisor Dr. James Ahern about this case. Wear a mask, wash your hands, keep your distance, and get vaccinated, said Crook.
