A former Mandan police officer has pleaded guilty to two felony sex crimes after prosecutors accused him of using his cellphone to record a minor. 45-year-old Scott Warzecha entered pleas Friday to felony use of a minor in a sexual performance and felony surreptitious intrusion. He was charged in November with both counts as well as another count of felony intrusion. That charge was dropped in exchange for his pleas. Prosecutors will request Warzecha serve five years in prison and three years on probation. He remains free on bond pending a presentence investigation.

MANDAN, N.D. (AP) A former Mandan police officer has pleaded guilty to two felony sex crimes after prosecutors accused him of using his cellphone to record a minor.
Scott Warzecha, 45, entered pleas Friday to felony use of a minor in a sexual performance and felony surreptitious intrusion, the Bismarck Tribune reported.
He was charged in November with both counts as well as another count of felony intrusion. That charge was dropped in exchange for his pleas.
