Are following Breaking News from south florida. It is devastating really. Its deadly. Theres been a highrise building that has collapsed in the city of surf side. This is just north of miami beach for context there. And what youre looking at here are live aerial pictures from the scene. You see that Swimming Pool on the left . This part of the building that has fallen down stretched all the way alongside that Swimming Pool. So were talking about a very large chunk of this building that fell down overnight. There is a huge pile of debris, 12 stories in this apartment building. Balconies that had been sawed in half, and were told that at least one person has died. About 100 units in this building, think of it, 39 years old. The collapse happened before 2 00 a. M. New video shows rescue crews pulling a young boy from the rubble. More than 80 Emergency Teams are on the groundworking to find survivors. We have some sort of before and after video. This is what the building looked like before
Like a ton of bricks and there are a lot of good things in here. Theres money for Healthcare Providers, hospitals, nurses and doctors. There are so many good things the country is under siege, and i was one of the first republicans, mr. President , to join my democratical colleagues, think of doctor senator durbin. We need to do something more of Unemployment Insurance. Income almost doubled in certain circumstances and i want to help people and i want to make sure if you lose your job. That we cover your wages, but under this bill, you get 23. 15 an hour baseded on a 40hour work week, know the to work. And if youre trying to hire somebody in South Carolina the next four months, youve got to compete with that wage. If youre working in a restaurant or probably not now, but if youre working anywhere from 15 an hour, somebodys making 23 an hour and youre working. Its just not fair. That bill died in 2017, but when i saw what the president accomplished, when i saw what many said never would or could be done, it renewed my beliefs that true criminal Justice Reform, which keeps our safe but allows x offenders to come home and be successful, can be achieved in the United States.
