JOHNSTOWN A Fulton County Board of Supervisors’ committee recently heard a presentation on Nexus Renewables’ $5.6 million solar project adjacent to the Tryon Technology Park in Perth.
The committee also approved a proposed county subscription related to the project, which isn’t expected to be done until next year.
County Planning Director Scott Henze updated the panel on the project at the County Office Building.
“This is a community solar project,” he told supervisors.

JOHNSTOWN The Fulton County Board of Supervisors on April 12 approved five resolutions related to the County Airport, which is gearing up for a large apron project this year.
The county’s 2021 capital plan includes a $1.25 million main apron reconstruction project.
Supervisors awarded a $789,609 low bid to Callanan Industries of Albany for the work. Five bids were received by the county.
“The bids came in very good,” said Perth Supervisor Gregory Fagan, chairman of the board’s Public Works Committee.

JOHNSTOWN Fulton County on Monday took a major early step toward bringing to fruition a $29 million Route 30/30A Corridor sanitary sewer construction project from Gloversville to Mayfield and Northville.
The full Board of Supervisors endorsed the concept of the project at its monthly meeting at the County Office Building.
Board Chairman Jack Callery told the board that he and other county officials met last week locally with U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer of New York. He said the senator indicated he would “keep us in mind” for federal infrastructure funding for the sewer project.
