BOS hears updates on Konocti Gardens

At their Tuesday March 19 meeting, the Lake County Board of Supervisors heard an item regarding the Konocti Gardens Apts. 102 units proposed on Alvita Avenue in Clearlake. This was for direction only and no action was taken. However, the developer would like to connect 2,000 feet of sewer pipe to the city's system.

Supes in the saddle for rodeo home

Following months of inquiries, a proposal to lease a Lake County property to serve as base for the Rodeo came before the Board of Supervisors this week. The supervisors expressed enthusiasm and now the proposal awaits further parley by organizers before a commitment will be made.

Waste water treatment topic of weekly breakfast forum

Filling in last minute after Senator Mike McGuire cancelled at the Judge's Breakfast in Clearlake this Thursday was Lake County Special Districts Administrator Scott Harter. Harter discussed the county's sewage and wastewater treatment facilities with a focus on the county's continued partnership with the CalPine geothermal plant in Middletown.
