PERRY COUNTY, Ohio A Columbus man is accused of shooting a 14-year-old in Perry County.
The New Lexington Police Department said in a release they received a call Thursday around 8 p.m. about an altercation in the 200 block of Lincoln Street involving a gun.
When officers got to the scene, they found the teen shot.
Police said the teen was taken to a hospital in Columbus but have not released information on the teenager s condition.
Police Chief Scott Ervin said the state attorney will decide whether the two juvenile suspects will be charged as minors or adults. Both were charged with felony offenses and were booked into the Bay County Jail.
Investigators with PCPD s Street Crimes Unit received a tip and were watching a house in the 1800 block of Bayview Avenue on Saturday. During their investigation, officers conducted traffic stops on two vehicles that left the residence, leading to the arrest of the suspects.
The wholesale value of the marijuana is estimated at $50,000. Packaged for distribution, the estimated street value of the marijuana is estimated at more than $380,000.
