Members called police. Officers went to the scene. When officers approached the suspect, he was in a patio area police say he opened fire. The suspect fired at the officers from his residence. Fatally striking an officer. Now other officers immediately returned fire. Police believe that dunham may have been hit at that time. Because the scene is a very large apartment complex it took police several hours to evacuate the area. We do understand that the police chief is expected to make a statement about this case in the next few minutes.
