After weeks of recounts, court cases and disputes the Claudia Tenney campaign is claiming a new lead in the race for New York s 22nd Congressional Race.
The race between Tenney and incumbent Democrat Congressman Anthony Brindisi has been contentious from the start and at this point has garnered National attention as they only Congressional race in the country still not officially decided and certified.
In a release sent to the media Tuesday the Tenney Campaign states,
With all uncontested ballots recanvassed, GOP Candidate Claudia Tenney maintains a 27-vote lead. With Oneida County completing its review of over 1700 affidavit (provisional) ballots, there are no uncontested or undisputed ballots left and Tenney remains ahead of Anthony Brindisi.

OSWEGO, N.Y. After a series of delays and errors made New York’s 22nd Congressional District the last undecided House race in the country, things were finally humming along Wednesday in Judge Scott DelConte’s courtroom.
Batches of yet-uncounted affidavit ballots were finally being reviewed. The state Supreme Court judge had made his way through six of the eight counties’ contested ballots. He ruled that errors on a batch of more than 100 absentee ballots from Madison County could be fixed and then counted.
Tenney re-takes lead in NY 22nd election as Oneida County gets close to finishing count

OSWEGO, N.Y. Republican Claudia Tenney has re-taken the lead, albeit a small one, in the continuing saga of New York’s 22nd Congressional District election, according to her campaign.
Tenney has a lead of about 30 votes, according to her campaign spokesman Sean Kennedy. That figure was also confirmed by an attorney familiar with the count.
More than 311,000 voters cast ballots in the race against incumbent Anthony Brindisi (D-Utica), making her margin incredibly small.
Oneida County elections officials have spent last week and part of this week reviewing about 1,800 affidavit ballots that were not included as part of the unofficial election total. They are almost done with that review, and are expected to finish up by noon today, the attorney said.

OSWEGO, N.Y. Incumbent Anthony Brindisi got a couple small wins in the latest day of a courtroom battle that will determine the winner of the 22nd Congressional District race, but the contest is still far from over 50 days after Election Day.
Brindisi (D) has a 14-vote lead over challenger Claudia Tenney (R) after several hundred affidavit ballots from Oneida County were finally tabulated this week. The new counts from Oneida County put Brindisi at 155,625 votes to Tenney’s 155,611, which amounts to a 0.004% lead for Brindisi.
