The government has invited bids from Indian and global companies with technological and operational expertise to modernise the Semiconductor Lab in Mohali. The bids can be submitted till October 21.
According to the proposal, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology intends to revamp the semiconductor lab by turning it into a center of excellence for research and development, converting it into a large-scale manufacturing facility, or a combination of these two options, as stated in a bid document from the IT ministry.
