Yesterday, unfortunately a Smaller Group of people acted out in a violent way. We see this as two entirely different groups. Criminal activity will not be tolerated. Were going to ensure were going to bring whatever resources are necessary. Whatever assets are necessary. As much manpower as necessary to let the citizens of baltimore know that their neighborhoods are going to be safe. That theyre not going to be in danger and theyll be protected. Because growing up in rural alabama, i asked my mother and my father, my grandparents and my great grand parents about segregation and Racial Discrimination, about those signs, white men, colored men, white women, colored women, and i said, why. Right now, the bookstore is still not saved through the Ground Breaking legislation. The advocates are currently doing all they can to raise money to try and buy back the building. This building is more than just a bookstore, its a part of our history and a part of the fact that as African Americans continue to leave San Francisco, it reminds us that we were here, were still here and well continue to be a part of the community and by retaining a landmark status from marcus bookstore, it just really sends a message that well continue to work to do

Depressed, i combed craigslist for two weeks and found my ad. For a variety of reasons, including some unique markings from an accident i had on the bike, i assumed it was mine. I called the Police Station afterwards. I assumed id get a voicemail and in fact i got sergeant anderson. Maybe i was lucky, maybe the Police Departments incredible, as i now believe it is. I think it was a combination of both. Sergeant anderson took my call and couldnt have been more helpful. It was a saturday. He told me if i could get the San Francisco here that he would give me the resources for what was effecttively a sting operation. I couldnt believe my luck. A normal citizen like me could engage the Sf Police Department like this. I was truly amazed.
