We know oakland has been trying to get a stop on crime and violence for years. This is the second report that has kids and parents scared for their safety. Reporter lets start with the late interest Skyline High School today. A gun was found on campus and at least one shot was fired there on campus. Two people were arrested. The good news is that nobody was actually injured in the shooting. It all started before 11 30 this morning with the reports of shots being fired at the school that is just west of the east oakland hills, the school was immediately placed on lockdown. Kids barricaded in their classrooms for 21 2 hours. Officers from the chp, Alameda County Sheriffs Office and the oakland pd started looking for evidence. That is when they found that gun. For the pocket fire near geyserville. That order is for People Living north of highway 128 from geysers road to chockhill road. Cal fire says a staggering 90,000 people have been forced out of their homes by the massive fires burning across Northern California. At least 34 people have now been killed. And roughly 9, 000 firefighters are battling the fires. But there is some progress to report tonight. Two of the largest fires in sonoma and napa counties are now at least 25 contained. There are now 18 people confirmed dead in Sonoma County in the aftermath of the firestorm and sadly, that number is expected to rise. You see that some cars are making their way around the art museum. Right over there by akens oval, that is shut down. The ben franklin parkway shut down. We will see some closures expanding to the side streets from 21st to 24th street. Parts of spring garden, and a few spots will be local access only. Was arrested for drinking and driving saturday evening. It happened here near 76th and florist after 48yearold lisa baake hit a squad car while stopped at the red light. According to police, officer baake hit the squad car so hard here, one of the officers had to go to the hospital. He was treated for back pain and released. Baake has been on the force for 22 years. A man answered the door when we knocked at her home this evening for comment. I do not have time for this. Reporter own car at the time. She is a Field Training officer from district 4.
