GUWAHATI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the BJP would make Assam a State as imagined by Srimanta Sankardev, Srimanta Madhavdev, Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi and Dr Bhupen Hazarika.
Addressing the media at Sualkuchi under Jalukbari constituency on Sunday, Shah said the BJP-led government under the leadership of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Cabinet Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has taken Assam on the path of development in the last five years. He said the BJP government has made Assam free from agitation and terror and also made the State development oriented. With these achievements and work we have approached the people to seek the mandate, he said.
