119th Regular Session of the Executive Council of ALECSO Kicks Off in Tunis

The 119th regular session of the Executive Council of the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) kicked off Saturday in Tunis. The two-day session will cover various agenda items, including monitoring the implementation of decisions made during previous sessions and assemblies. Additionally, discussions will focus on the educational, cultural, and scientific conditions in Palestine, the threats faced by Jerusalem, and the review of reports and recommendations from specialized ministerial conferences.

Saudi Natural Reserve Registered in World Database on Protected Areas

Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Natural Reserve Development Authority (ITBA) has registered the reserve in the World Database on Protected Areas (WDPA), one of the main steps toward accession to the International Union for Conservation of Nature Green List (IUCN).

AlUla s Jabal Ikmah listed on UNESCO s Memory of the World register

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has listed Jabal Ikmah in AlUla in its Memory of the World Register, 15 years after Al-Hijr (Mada’in Salih) archeological site, also in AlUla governorate, became Saudi Arabia’s first World Heritage Site to be inscribed in 2008.
