With Mysuru city growing in all the directions and becoming hub of many industrial and commercial activities, there are many blue prints made, like taking up the Kushalnagar Railway line, expanding the existing airport near Mandakalli etc.

Just two years ago, a Railway line was drawn (thanks to Railway for this speedy project) from NMGT to Metagalli where it connected Mysuru Arasikere tracks.
