We have a feed through from the chinese economy to the rest of the world through chinese investment, particularly Property Investment and infrastructure investment, and the news on that front is not quite so positive yet. We are still seeing relatively sluggish investment in those areas. A lot of the recent improvement has actually come from the consumer sector, which is a good thing for chinas economy, where we are seeing some rebalancing away from investment, but in terms of chinese demand for what the rest of the world produces, it is not quite as positive a development. Having said that, despite the continued weakness in the property sector, there were some green shoots in the data today. I think we could see a bit of relief for the Housing Market over the next few quarters and that definitely will be a positive for the rest of the world as well. what is the latest on this u.s. winter storm? when can some areas see better temperatures? you know, rosemary, with about 2 feet of snow on the ground and temperatures are close to the freezing mark today and really close to it tomorrow even, we re going to see the snow stick around a few days. temps warm up wednesday and thursday. these records as incredible as it gets, in some cases 10 inches above the previous record, the kennedy airport there in new york, and even laguardia setting records about 9 inches above what the previous one was, sitting around 1 inch. satellite perspective, 22,000 miles up looking back down towards the northeastern u.s., you ll notice the entirety of the region here with at least some snow on the ground, again, some of these areas we re talking several feet of snow that came down setting these records that we ve seen. but again, that element finally tapering off. want to show you what s happening across portions of florida. freeze alerts, widespread. temp

but first let s go right to nbc meteorologist bonnie schneider for the latest track. looks like dorian really is targeting south florida now. that s right. most of the models have shifted further south and west, both not good news and what s interesting is that the forecast calls for dorian to slow down. but right now, a category 2 storm moving to the northwest at 12. i want to look at the satellite perspective because even though there s some shear happening, this storm is coming over a much more favorable environment. let s look at the track because if you re just getting up and the way that things have really shifted, we re still expecting a category 4 storm. which is really unprecedented and historical. if we go back to 2017 and 18 we had category 4 storms hitting florida. are we going to see that again this year? that would make three consecutive times that occurred.
