Creek near the town of byron. Right now the fires about 15, 20 acres. We are told that they do have it under control. No homes threatened. But you can see it is smoky and fiery out there. The crews will stay at that location to make sure it doesnt spread. We have super high temperatures of course. Well be keeping an eye on it throughout this newscast. Contra costa county where that fire is burning had the hottest temperature in the bay area today on a day of recordsetting heat. And more records may fall tomorrow.
