The Mamoru and Aiko Takitani Foundation, Inc. (Takitani Foundation) has awarded grants totaling $300,000 in memory of Mamoru and Aiko Takitani, founders of Hawaiian Host, manufacturer of Hawaiian Host chocolates. Funding will support victims of the Maui fires and include $150,000 to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, $100,000 to Lahaina Hongwanji Mission, and $50,000 to Maui Preparatory Academy.
St. Anthony School is postponing its “Sunday in the Shade – A Vintage Pāʻina” event. The fundraiser commemorating the school’s 175th anniversary had been planned for Oct. 1, 2023, on the school grounds. The school will announce a new date when it is determined.
Saint Anthony School on Maui commemorates 175 years with celebratory events throughout the year. The celebration starts in June 2023, and continues through July 2024.
St. Anthony School in Wailuku, Maui welcomes home its alumni for the school’s 31st Annual Hoʻolauleʻa. Graduates will be honored on Saturday, June 24, from 5-10 p.m., on Sullivan Field fronting the campus.
In an effort to raise awareness around the affordable housing crisis in Maui County, St. Anthony student Edward Oliveira launched a fundraiser, Paddle for Roof, to benefit Habitat for Humanity Maui.
