Online applications for disaster relief financial support will begin Oct. 1, 2023, from the Maui Disaster Relief initiative by the Hawaiʻi Catholic Community Foundation, and all of Maui’s 10 Catholic churches.
All Lahaina and Kula residents may apply for assistance from the Maui Disaster Relief Fund, sponsored by the Hawai‘i Catholic Community Foundation and St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, starting Oct. 1.
Longtime community development specialist Toni Rojas has been appointed as Director of Maui Disaster Relief by the Hawaiʻi Catholic Community Foundation. The position was created to support the ongoing efforts of Catholic Charities of Hawaiʻi and the 11 parishes on Maui to aid in the recovery of the Lahaina and Kula communities, which were severely impacted by wildfires on Aug. 8, 2023.
