The HC directed the prosecution to provide Kalyani the complete set of documents which were filed by prosecution alongwith ‘untraced report’, including statements of witnesses recorded under section 161 CrPC.
A three-member special investigation team (SIT) constituted by the high court had submitted the three reports in 2018 in connection with the drugs cases in Punjab. The SIT was headed by former Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyaya.
While the CBI has submitted a chargesheet against Kalyani Singh in the court in the Sippy Sidhu, murder case, the investigating agency is still clueless about the second assailant and is yet to trace the weapon used in the crime.
