Earlier this week. Things look very good as we go into our sunday. Much better than we saw yesterday. Where we had flooding along the shore and we had the damp gray conditions throughout the region. Today, were at 71 in philadelphia. Thats an improvement from what we saw earlier thispper 50s and. Were at 72 in northeast philly. 69, Atlantic City. Allentown, youre at 68 degrees right now. Water mid 70s. No complaints right now. On the radar and satellite view, its clear outside. Not just for one or two of our g nice. Well keep the sunny conditions through the morning hours, through the afternoon hours and through the next couple days too. Heres the temperature trend as we get into the afternoon. 78 degrees alt lunch hour, moving to the low 80s this afternoon with all of that hens winds coming from the north. You told me this during the break, one of the best days were going to see all season. Its true. Not often that you get to say, hey, low humidity, sunny skies, temperatures cooler than average but not cold. This is a nice summer day for us. We are warming up, more so than yesterday. At this point in the day. Take a look. 4 degrees warm in philadelphia, 6 degrees warmer in mt. Holly. 6 degrees warmer in vineland. Yesterday, we tapped out as a high of 77, that was 10 degrees lower than average. Today, closer to average but still below in the low 80s. Were at 73 right now in philadelphia. Dover the same. In Atlantic City, 73 degrees. Water temperature good too. 74 right now. Its clear. Clouds that are way off to sea, but otherwise, no clouds overhead with our area. Kristen, we just heard from governor christie in the last hour. I want to show people, though, this is the area and exactly what it looked like after sandy and then yesterday to today. Are they any closer, though, to getting to the cause, the root of what started that fire . Reporter yes, thomas, that investigation is going on now. There are a number of agencies here looking at it. What the governor said is their focus up until this point has really been to get this fire stopped. You saw those winds yesterday and just how quickly this was moving, how quickly it was spreading and so their focus up to now has been on stopping it. It is now 95 contained. Theyre still worried about a couple of hot spots and still working on that as the investigation begins. Theyre beginning to do some damage assessment.
