SanTan Brewing closes its Phoenix taproom and restaurant

SanTan Brewing closes its Phoenix taproom and restaurant SanTan Brewing Company The Chandler brewery will open a second brewpub in Phoenix near 16th Street and Bethany Home Road. and last updated 2021-04-16 22:26:25-04 PHOENIX — SanTan Brewing Company has closed its taproom and restaurant in Phoenix after three years. The Chandler-based brewery expanded to Phoenix in 2018 when it opened a taproom and restaurant near 16th Street and Bethany Home Road in the former Z Tejas space. After thoughtful consideration, we decided to concentrate fully on our dine-in concepts in the East Valley, including its brewpub in downtown Chandler, its cocktail lounge, Spirit House, and production facility, SanTan Brewing said Friday in a statement.

SanTan Brewing closed its uptown Phoenix restaurant Here s why

The Phoenix location of SanTan Brewing Company has closed.  Located on Bethany Home Road just west of 16th Street, the pub was an outpost of SanTan s main brewery and restaurant in downtown Chandler. Along with the main pub in Chandler, the parent company SanTan Brewing + Distilling runs a neighboring cocktail bar called Spirit House and a production facility that includes a tasting room a few miles away. A statement from the company and owner Anthony Canecchia said the plans for SanTan are to focus more on the East Valley. We therefore made the difficult decision to close our Uptown Brewpub located on Bethany Home Road, the statement read, ending with  We’re grateful for the tremendous support of SanTan fans.

Now Open: Board Game Bar The Silver Key Lounge in Mesa

Like other bars across Arizona, The Silver Key Lounge currently is operating at 50 percent capacity. Seating in its 3,500-square-foot main room – three booths along the walls, nine dining tables in the main room, and three long gaming tables – has been spaced out to allow for social distancing. Patrons are required to wear masks and remain seated as much as possible. Temperature checks will also be conducted upon entry and each of Silver Key’s games and other touch-points will be quarantined and sanitized after being played, McCleary says. “We know the virus can t stay on non-organic stuff for too long, but it s one of those things where we re playing it more cautious than not,” he says.
