CRESTVIEW While a recently-posted sign at the site of the Stewby’s Seafood Restaurant that’s coming to the Hub City states it will open next summer, it’s possible the eatery could open before then, Stewby’s owner Stewart Taylor said Tuesday.
Taylor said he has partnered with Fort Walton Beach businessman Vince Bruner to open the restaurant on a vacant parcel in front of BT Kitchen & Bath at 4110 S. Ferdon Blvd.
The new Stewby’s site also is between Ford Crestview and Allen Turner Chevrolet just north of PJ Adams Parkway and adjacent to a median opening.
“We took the location that was affordable,” said Taylor, who lives in Baker. “I’ve been looking at that spot for a few years. The opportunity just came up. The parking lot there is already done, so the initial investment is lower.”
