Student, staff and families in the Santa Clara Unified School District know how quickly a virus can spread. Last year they had to alert the Public Health department because more than 10 of the students were absent because of flulike symptoms. Concerned about the flu at this school yeah, but as far as measles goes not yet. I mean, there are more cases yeah. Reporter the county has only one confirmed case of measles and thats in an adult. But thats not stopping the letter to the board of education. It will be sent to the 31 School Districts to be disbursed to the 270,000 children and their families. Its really just a message to say dont be alarmed dont be panicked, there have been these cases. But here are the facts. H
Number of parents who opt out of vaccinations says that they need to make sure this bill doesnt get watered down. Will we actually end up with a bill that meets the intended outcomes or will there be some unintended consequences or a watering down that does not address the core issue . Chris bolton, he told me investigators received information that at first there was a shooting, and that led to the collision of three vehicles. Two cars involved in the crash sat facing the wrong direction on highway 580 eastbound near the broadway exit. A light colored sedan with heavy front end damage, riddled with bullets. Six by our counts. A black car also damaged. Reporter police say the driver of the light colored sedan suffered a nonlife threatening gunshot wound. Highway patrol told me three vehicles were involved in the crash. One told me not to be involved in the shooting, and was allowed to leave after the incident. Police are looking for one person who fled on foot. Chp detained one person at the scene. But as of tonight, they did not have anyone in custody. Drivers were surprised. This is expected to make a mess of traffic. Drivers hoping to head south on 280 in San Francisco are turned away. Caltrans is closing southbound lanes of the 280 extension until tuesday for seismic safety work. We are going to replace hip js and hopefully everything will be ready to go. By tuesday morning. Busy onramps at fourth and king and sixth and brannon are now closed. The closure means city streets will be jammed as thousands of drivers head it alternate onramps.
