The election held for the Someshwara town municipal council (TMC) on Wednesday was peaceful, with no untoward incidents reported. The TMC registered 63.1% polling. Election was held for 23 wards of the TMC, which comes under Mangaluru assembly constituency represented by legislative assembly speaker UT Khader.
According to police, the MP's nephew Sanjit Singh alias Pappu was arrested in alleged connection in Vicky Yadav's murder. Police said he was called for an interrogation in an attempt to murder case and was later arrested.
