The election held for the Someshwara town municipal council (TMC) on Wednesday was peaceful, with no untoward incidents reported. The TMC registered 63.1% polling. Election was held for 23 wards of the TMC, which comes under Mangaluru assembly constituency represented by legislative assembly speaker UT Khader.
