That includes both the Ubly and Cass City school districts, both of which are going virtual due to quarantined students and a shortage of staff members. “We have about seven or eight kids who tested positive and about six to seven staff members also,” said Ubly School District Superintendent Joe Candella. “Because of that, we will be going virtual this week.”

The owners must appear in court over Zoom Wednesday morning, Dec. 16, to argue why they should not be found in contempt of court over keeping its indoor dining space open, according to a photo of the order posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services order requiring Michigan eateries to temporarily close indoor dining to fight the spread of COVID-19 is in effect through Sunday, Dec. 20.
