The President of the National Association of Parents Teachers Association of Nigeria (NAPTA), Alhaji Haruna Danjuma, has pleaded with the abductors of the students of Greenfield University, Kaduna, to spare the lives of their victims.
One Sani Idris Jalingo, who claimed to be the leader of the bandits that abducted the students on April 18 in the school, had threatened in an interview with the Hausa service of the Voice of America (VOA), that the 17 remaining students (15 girls and two boys) would be killed on Tuesday (today) if the state government or the parents of students fail to pay a ransom of N100 million and provide them with 10 new Honda motorcycles.

Nigerians have taken to Twitter to demand the swift intervention of the government to see to the release of the remaining Greenfield University students as the abductors threatened to kill them today. x
Twenty-two undergraduates were seized from their campus almost two weeks ago by gunmen. Five of them have since been killed by the captors.

Nigerians have taken to micro-blogging site, Twitter to demand the rescue or release of the remaining Greenfield University students as the Bandits who abductedthem, threatened to kill them today.
In an interview with the Voice Of America (VOA) Hausa, leader of the team, Sani Idris Jalingo (also known as Baleri), handed down the threat in a recorded audio clip that lasted for three minutes.
He explained that affected parents had paid N55 million which they allegedly used in feeding the captives.
“There are 15 females and two males in our captivity, including the son of the late Emir, Shehu Idris, identified as Hamza,” Jalingo said
