Punjab’s top BJP leadership has been summoned to Delhi by the party’s top brass to deliberate on the post-breaking of the alliance with SAD (B) scenario especially in wake of the re-emergence of Bikram Singh Majithia in Akali politics.
In the recent past, Congress leaders including a prominent Dalit face Raj Kumar Verka along with other senior leaders namely Balbir Singh Sidhu, Gurpreet Singh Kangar and Sunder Sham Arora joined the BJP in presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Panthic unity took a beating with the filing of nomination papers by SAD(A) President Simranjit Singh Mann and SAD(B) announcing the candidature of Kamaldeep Kaur Rajoana, sister of Balwant Singh Ranoana, to be the party candidate from Sangrur parliamentary seat.
