MUMBAI: Mumbai and its adjoining locations Thane, Navi Mumbai were battered by heavy rainfall which threw life out of gear. Mumbai recorded over 250 mm of rain in just three hours (between midnight and 3 am), touching 305 mm by 7 am on Sunday, a meteorologist said.

Sunday saw grave tension at the Ahilyadevi Holkar School (Old Sangvi) vaccination centre after 600 people were turned away. The centre had reported clashes between the medical staff and
citizens after the vaccine stock had run dry on Saturday as well.
People had gathered in large numbers on Sunday as it was a weekend and the three nearby centres were closed due to no stock. They had come from New Sangvi, Aundh,
