Cracker Barrels in Decatur will soon serve beer, wine and mimosas Updated Feb 05, 2021; By Bayne Hughes, The Decatur Daily Known for homestyle Southern cooking and hearty breakfasts, local Cracker Barrel restaurants will soon add beer, wine and mimosas to their menus. Sal Jasso, of the city of Decatur’s Revenue Department, recommended that the city grant the restaurant’s request on Monday. The City Council approved the alcohol license after holding the required public hearing. Councilman Carlton McMasters joked at a recent council work session, “Do you drink white or red wine with chicken and dumplings?” Jasso said that, once the council approves an alcohol license, he notifies the state Alcoholic Beverage Control Board’s Huntsville office.
