HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Some folks in north Alabama will soon be able to order a beer with their biscuits and gravy or a mimosa with their Mommaâs Pancake Breakfast.
Thatâs right, local Cracker Barrel restaurants will soon add beer, wine, and mimosas to their menus.
The Old Country Store made the announcement earlier in Fall of 2020 that it was planning to sell alcohol in restaurants for the first time in its 51-year history.

Known for homestyle Southern cooking and hearty breakfasts, local Cracker Barrel restaurants will soon add beer, wine and mimosas to their menus.
Sal Jasso, of the city of Decatur’s Revenue Department, recommended that the city grant the restaurant’s request on Monday. The City Council approved the alcohol license after holding the required public hearing.
Councilman Carlton McMasters joked at a recent council work session, “Do you drink white or red wine with chicken and dumplings?” Jasso said that, once the council approves an alcohol license, he notifies the state Alcoholic Beverage Control Board’s Huntsville office.
