SACRAMENTO, Calif. Despite authorities across the region attempting to crackdown on illegal fireworks use, the night sky has been filled with the colorful glow of fireworks for the past couple weeks.
If you witness illegal fireworks going off in your neighborhood, some law enforcement agencies have reporting lines just for that.

Man accused of shooting girlfriend in face arrested in Oregon, San Joaquin Sheriff says

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. A man accused of shooting his girlfriend in the face was arrested in Curry County, Oregon.
On Saturday, the San Joaquin County Sheriff s Office said 34-year-old Kevin Gerolaga was brought into custody after fleeing from a traffic stop in Oregon. Gerolaga had an active warrant for his arrest on attempted murder charges.
According to a Facebook post from the sheriff s office, Gerolaga is accused of shooting his girlfriend in the face during an argument early in the morning on April 21.

TRACY, Calif.
9 p.m. Update:
Several explosive devices have been found near businesses west of Tracy, according to the San Joaquin Sheriff s Office.
In a tweet, the sheriff s office said the devices were located and deputies then began searching the suspect s vehicle.
Deputies have since reopened the roadway after the area was rendered safe.
