This week is Banned Books Week, and the San Francisco Public Library and Litquake will host a panel of children’s and young adult authors who will discuss what it’s like to write as a creator whose work has been banned or censored.
The Bay Area community came together in Alameda Saturday. They supported a street vendor whose cart was destroyed by a San Francisco Public Works employee.
Attorneys for the Coalition on Homelessness say city workers are inadequately trained in dealing with clearing homeless encampments and those who reside in them. City officials say these are unsupported accusations.
