So please reduce your speed john. Well as you can see over the bay bridge robin weve got a mix of cloud cover and sunshine now you can see thats a mix over San Francisco. Things are gradually getting more and more bright but as you also noted weve had some drizzle this morning so roadways are a bit on the slick side. More and more clear skies into the afternoon means a better chance to enjoy some of our cooler temperatures today, were still in the midst of some moderate to get air quality now thats definitely better than we have been will still be holding on to these moderate conditions through the weekend and likely into the start of next week too. Another spare the air alert in effect today and tomorrow, 50s and 60s for our current temperatures, a cool start a bit of a grey start and then later on today just a nice and comfortable finish with 60s for your highs and San Francisco and oakland and 70s in san jose. A member of congress have a duty to take all necessary action to preserve
Grows. 7 00 a. M. , 78, 9 00 a. M. , 81. The key here is that northeast wind coming down the hillside. As this comes down in elevation and sinks, that warmth, and thats why it led to that very warm start this morning. Now, the red flack fire warning has been extended for a portion of the bay area, for the north bay hills and east bay hills. This has been extended until 6 00 a. M. Saturday. Winds not extremely strong, but it is still warm, and it is still to try and breezy. We could have winds gusting to 30 miles an hour. Right now as we look at some of the sensors, the winds, nothing too extreme, but it is still so hot and dry. Here is our live camera this evening, looking out towards San Francisco and downtown with mostly clear skies. The current numbers, still have 90s well inland. San francisco in the mid80s. Half moon bay, 81 degrees. The heat advisory expires later on this evening. The weekend will bring in some cooler air. More on your weekend outlook coming up in a few minutes.
Conditions heading our way law yeah, this historically one of the worst times a year we get those offshore winds. And the dangerous fire conditions of course for many folks looks beautiful down below like today, lots of sunshine and warm weather but watch what happens here, weve got a cold front that is moving over the top of this ridge once that moves on by High Pressure starts to build on the backside of that. And then here come those winds those dry northerly offshore winds developing and very gusty in spots, especially over the mountain tops but even in some of the urban areas youre going to feel the gusts down below so fire danger going to be running high as we head into the next few days right now we havent seen much in that offshore wind developing yet but not expected still sea breeze in the San Francisco on the west at 5, 6, in the pacific out of the west 9 in sfo, a west oakland of 5, but look at the north bay see sonoma now get a normally composed the wind at 17 Miles Per Ho
Appearance of sunshine yet again and daytime highs comfortably back in the 60s and 70s. Robin. Thank you john we have some problems to talk about starting off in San Francisco, all of a sudden caltrans started blocking lanes on one on one. And it sort of threw everyone for a loop because were like whats going on theres no you dont mention of construction that supposed to be happening. But they have several lanes close all of a sudden on southbound one o one at cesar chavez in San Francisco, at least the 3 left lanes and so this is definitely doing some damage to your morning drive southbound 1, one is awful. It is backed up onto just about the whole stretch of the central freeway, its backed up onto the westbound skyway so youre going to hit this heavy traffic as soon as you exit the upper deck of the bay bridge from fremont street all the way out to the scene there at south one o one, its just awful and northbound traffic has a view of the southbound activity so northbound one oh one
