Tonight there are growing questions about the Police Shooting of a 15yearold girl on the side of a california highway in 2022. Newly released video appears to show the teenager attempting to surrender before being killed in a shootout. Cbss Elise Preston reports Californias Department of justice is now investigating. Reporter its taken a year and a half for this video to be made public, one that appears to show deputies gunning down the victim of a kidnapping. Deputies had just the fact of 15yearold Savannah Graziano in a highspeed chase. Officers had been on the hunt for her father, anthony, who allegedly murdered her mother and abducted the girl. Involving an elderly couple in martinez. The woman mistook her cars gas pedal for the break running over her husband and killing him this morning near Alhambra Valley road. Police say the womans in her 80s. Her husband apparently helping her park the car in the garage. Its when she accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake. She hit her husband and then crashed through the back wall of the garage, pinning him under the car. The man was rushed to the hospital where he died an hour later. Yesterday the District Attorneys Office announced 15 yearold Adrian Gonzalez will be prosecuted as an adult for murder, kidnapping and sexual assault. He could face life in prison if convicted. When they looked at it as the murder of a small child and what else happened, the crime rose to the level that he needed to face societys greater punishment. [ music ] and some social media posts by gonzalez suggest he may have been dealing with depression. According to the San Francisco chronicle, sources say gonzalez told police he was thinking about suicide and killed the girl to see how people would react. In about four hours a procession begins to the site of the Hayward Police sergeants funeral.
