Police: 5 people arrested on drug charges during raid of home in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa. Five people, including three members of the same household, were charged after the Lancaster Bureau of Police Selective Enforcement Unit raided a home on the 500 block of Beaver Street last week, police say.
An investigation of suspected drug activity launched in December led police to the home, and officers executed a search warrant last Thursday, police say.

Police in Lancaster made several arrests last week, shutting down what investigators are calling a hub of drug sales in the city.
According to Lancaster police, the Selective Enforcement Unit launched an investigation into the suspected sale of heroin and crack cocaine in the southwest area of the city, focusing on a home on the 500 block of Beaver Street.
On Thursday, police executed a search warrant on the home. Investigators say they found more than 250 vials of crack cocaine, 5 grams of powder cocaine, more than 550 wax packets of heroin as well as Suboxone pills, marijuana and more than $14,000 in cash believed to be the profits from drug transactions.
