Good morning, Gang Green Nation! There’s been a lot of talk lately about the New York Jets using the #23 pick in the 2021 NFL draft on an edge rusher. Lord knows how much the Jets need an edge.

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! The time for NFL teams to designate players with the franchise tag is fast approaching. Once those tags are placed the free agent picture will become a bit more clear. The only player likely to be in the discussion for a franchise tag with the Jets is Marcus Maye. That would probably be a good use of the tag, as it may be less expensive to tag Maye than to sign him to an extension. Unless Maye is amenable to a team friendly extension, I would consider tagging Maye twice, then letting him test free agency in 2023. By then Maye will be 30 years old and it will probably be a good time to part ways.

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. With a lot of players on the team becoming unrestricted free agents and quite a few bad contracts on the books, the Jets and GM Joe Douglas have some decisions to make. Personally, I think the Jets should move on for cap reasons. I believe Braxton Berrios played as well as Crowder when given the time this season and it’s always better to go with the much cheaper option if the drop-off in

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! Valentine’s Day, Lunar New Year, President’s Day - this weekend has a holiday for everyone. Pick your poison. For better or worse, however, there is no holiday from mock drafts, crazy trade ideas, and contradictory “reports” from “NFL insiders”. Ah, the joys of silly season as we count the days before the start of free agency.
