Good morning, Gang Green Nation! The Super Bowl is behind us, free agency is in front of us, and we’re now in a bit of a lull on the NFL schedule. Nothing to look forward to at the present but endless mock drafts, “137 Free Agents The Jets Should Sign” articles, and speculation about quarterback possibilities for the Jets. In the meantime, we wait for the new league year and free agency in mid March, when we see what Joe Douglas looks like when he’s got giant gobs of cap space to work with.

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! We’re just a day away from the Super Bowl now, and I couldn’t be less enthused. As the game has evolved over the years, it has become less football game and more spectacle. Real football fans have been replaced by celebrities and corporate bigwigs in the stands. Commercial breaks have become ever more frequent and longer. The halftime extravaganza gets more elaborate by the year. The game day coverage starts earlier and earlier while providing no more insight. Maybe it’s just me, but if my team isn’t in it, and the Jets are never in it, I just don’t much care about the Super Bowl any more. How about you?

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Reports are coming out that multiple teams have shown interest in Jets’ quarterback Sam Darnold, and that the current price on Sam is a late 1st-round selection. Given that information it’s fair to assume it’s only a handful of teams who are moving on, or have moved on from aging quarterbacks. Teams like the Steelers and Colts would come to mind. However, this could all be a smokescreen as reports lately have also indicated that the Raiders have been getting a lot of phone calls about their own quarterback, Derek Carr. Personally if I’m the Jets, I look to offload Darnold at that price point and hope that Justin Fields (or Deshaun Watson) end up panning out for the team. Good morning, Gang Green Nation! If you live anywhere in the I-95 corridor, buckle up, there’s a massive blizzard brewing. Two or more feet of snow and high winds are expected in some areas. Just one of the “benefits” of living in the Northeast.
Not a lot brewing in Jets land today. The Deshaun Watson talk has mercifully died down for now. The Senior Bowl was played yesterday. Maybe you had a chance to see a future Jet or two. Other than that, a quiet winter’s day before the storm for Jets fans.
