Scholastic Journalism Week (SJW) has been celebrated for the last 100 years to highlight the importance of journalism and the student journalists bringing news to the public. Nationally recognized Southern Illinois University student, Monserrat Munzo, may be on her way back from the Big Apple soon, but you might catch a glimpse of her if you’re in Time Square. A senior majoring in journalism with a specialization in advertising and a minor in Spanish, Munzo was recently recognized by American Advertising.
